Religion - Option 1 Religions Compared Each religion has many different ways of worship, some may be public and some may be private. I chose to investigate the different forms of worship from Christianity and although both religions have similarities, both are unique in their own way. Christianity A public form of Christian worship is “Baptism”. A baptism is a ritual that a young Christian should go through. In a baptism the child was completely immersed in water to try to purify the soul. Another form of baptism involves pouring water three times on the forehead. Some Christians believe that baptism is necessary for salvation. Salvation for Christians is that on the day of their death their soul will be saved from eternal hell fire and they will spend eternity in heaven with their lord. Another meaning of the word "baptism" has been used to refer to any ceremony, test, or experience.
