Religion is thought to provide comfort to the most intimate part of a human being: the soul. However, what happens when religion tries to overstep its legitimate boundaries and attempts to control human beings from the outside, instead of uplifting them from the inside? This is the fault of the largest religious organization on Earth: the Roman Catholic Church. Throughout history, the Catholic Church has been among the most infamous faith groups due to its apparent achievement of absolute dominion over the minds, bodies, and souls of humanity. The Roman Catholic Church has and continues to play a negative role in the world with respect to the fields of science, politics and culture, undermining the quality of life of both the faithful and the infidels. The Church has and continues to impede humanity's pursuit of knowledge and prosperity through the repression of science. Furthermore, he was involved in one of the most infamous events in history. Finally, the Church has made clear its attempt to turn back the clock worthy of respect for progressive social change by preaching its archaic attitudes on contemporary social issues. The Roman Catholic Church, throughout history, has impeded scientific discovery, thereby compromising humanity's progress toward better understanding and prosperity in the world. As the most “Catholic” of the world's faiths, the Church has exercised an extraordinary hold on the hearts and minds of much of the human race; this was his source of power. To ensure that this power was never lost, the Church had to appeal to all the faculties of the human condition, including those of wonder and reason.
