These skills or abilities are important because for problem solving skills you need to know because in the workforce employers want you to know these things before hiring you. Good communication skills are also important because in the world of work you will need to know how to talk to bosses, managers and customers. To show an employer that you are ready for the job from day one, you need to make sure you arrive on time for the interview. That's when you demonstrate your time management skills because an employer doesn't want someone who is late. You want to appear professional and be ready for the questions they will ask you. When they ask you questions, you want to use your good communication skills because they don't want someone who is rude and speaks casually. If it's a job that involves showing work or projects, you'll probably want to be prepared and have a portfolio and show the work you've done. In my cosmetology class there are many ways we emulate the workforce. One way is that when we have clients we must have good communication skills because as a cosmetologist we always have to talk to our clients and make sure if they like how their hair looks or if they want something different. Another way is time management because in cosmetology if you have a client booked for a haircut and a client wants a pedicure you need to know how long a haircut and a pedicure last and see if they can book the pedicure.
