Wedding ceremonies are held for the bond of marriage. Marriage is a socially recognized universal institution found in every society. It is a social contract between two opposite sexes for the satisfaction of the physical, biological, social, psychological and spiritual needs of males and females. Almost all world religions encourage couples to engage in this contract unless otherwise. The other most important element related to marriage is sex. Sex is more than physical and is about procreation. It is important to recognize and identify the breadth of sexuality. Sex serves many of life's most basic purposes: from pleasure, stress reduction, and shaping our identity to our intimate connection. Almost all religions in the world encourage couples to have sex as it is not only a way to get closer but also a way for their generation to prosper. Say no to plagiarism. In some countries, premarital sex is not a crime, people just do it for fun or to get to know other partners better. Yet in some religions it is considered a sin and in some places, for example in Islam, premarital sex is absolutely forbidden, there is no doubt about that. In the video, two Sri Lankan students talk about their move from Sri Lanka to the United States where, in addition to facing other culture shocks, they were sexually obsessed. They mentioned how premarital sex was looked down upon in Sri Lanka and how open and different they found it to be in the United States. Compared to American culture, where people, even teenage students, are not shy about talking about sex, there are countries like Japan, where people seem disinterested in having sex. In short, in my opinion, America is a fantastic place, there are great opportunities to learn about all kinds of things. People are taught about sex, STDs, and the outcomes or circumstances of having sex, but compared to other countries, premarital sex, STDs, and abortion rates are higher in USBBeing Muslim and an immigrant, I visualized many cultural differences and saw people talk very openly about their sexual relationship. Although people in the United States are highly educated compared to other countries, there are still higher rates of fornication and premarital sex. When I looked into it further to find the reason, I think the only way I can find is that children are taught about sex too early and later in their life, sex education is heavily emphasized. Furthermore, most of the young people did not seem to follow any religion that allowed them to do everything for pleasure alone. Everyone has the desire to have sexual contacts as it is a natural instinct that God put in us, but it is only religion that keeps me away from such thoughts and emotions.
