Web DesignWe have indeed come a long way since the beginning of time. We are much more advanced in so many ways; one of our advances is our technological knowledge. Thanks to this knowledge, we can do many things, such as burn CDs, go to space and cure people of different diseases. A very important technological advancement is the Internet. Thanks to the Internet, people today can do things easily. We can communicate via email or instant messaging, or we can search for information online using search engines. These search engines were created through web design. Web design has helped us get to where we are today in technology and economics. The World Wide Web was created in the early 1980s at CERN, a physics laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland. Tim Berners-Lee, a man who worked at CERN, initially wanted to find better ways to electronically circulate scientific papers and other data among the physics research community around the world. After some time he finally developed the code for a hypertext server program and made it available on the Internet. The code used was Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). Although the first browser was only useful for viewing text documents, we are now able to read these HTML documents and also view graphics and other platforms using today's web browsers such as Netscape Navigator. Browsers like Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer have helped us to view various documents on the web. Most of these documents are in HTML. This language is very powerful, as evidenced by where it has taken us in website building today. This language includes a series of codes or tags that describe relationships... middle of paper......Online Web Design Training: "Liven Up Your Site."http://www.holton.k12. ks.us/educate/training/spiceingup.htmlOringe. 2001. http://web-design-program.oringeinteractive.com/web-design-programs.htmlReed, Jody.
