Paving the Way for a Successful FutureBoth seasoned travelers and amateurs will probably agree that to reach a final destination, you need some sort of roadmap. Detours are fine, but hitting the road with a plan and route will make the trip successful. Requiring students to choose a career path in high school can have a positive effect on both students' careers and the American economy. Students who leave high school without having the proper career/college-ready skills have little to no chance of a successful future. Students who lack career/college readiness skills and attempt to enter the workforce immediately after high school will experience some level of disappointment. They will most likely earn little or no income; thus finding themselves unable to provide for themselves and having less currency to pump back into the economy for economic growth. When choosing to enter college directly from high school, students who are lacking in the area of career/college readiness skills will find themselves taking several remedial courses leaving college....
