Topic > My Homework on Rome and Alexander the Great - 1132

IntroductionFor this third period in the APWH portfolio, I intend to approach my homework with the knowledge that I will not have to procrastinate. Man, I learned my lesson from the last set of 19 tasks: don't put it aside in the last 2 days. This is the biggest mindset I have right now about these new 9 tasks: DO. NOT. PROCRASTINATE. I will make more use of my free time and organize myself more effectively with calendars, reminders, etc. If I can recover from the horrible experience of the last series of tasks, I will give myself a Time Management Rebound award! The time 600-1450 CE is a time of local (trans/regional) interactions and the focus of this time period was trade, as was religion in the previous time period. I look forward to learning more about the impact of trade on the world and how traders, technology, and the economy grew thanks to trade and the growing awareness of empires and surrounding regions. Looking into the future, I notice that this period is home to the two most brutal empires in history: the Mongols and the Aztecs. Empires that take control of vast lands through military rule are of great interest to me, which is why I am passionate about the empires of Rome and Alexander the Great. As I probably always will, I think I will find the procrastination factor of large assignments like these to be very challenging. In fact, I may struggle this time even more than the last two sets of tasks because of the number. 9 tasks might be really disappointing when it comes to being motivated to actually complete them, and I might be tricked into thinking, “Oh, I can get started this weekend before the deadline.” I have to be persistent and counter my bad conscience by saying, “Why don't I get a head start and do these things on my own time?” Assignment... middle of paper... critical role in supporting a growing population Added corn, fruit and vegetables to markets in TenochtitlanWaru waru Avoid and decrease the effect of erosion on soil Terracing Crops could be sown on slopes The effect of erosion on the soil also decreased Like all these technologies, it allowed a greater quantity of food for the urban population Horse collar It made it easier for the horse to carry heavy objects The neck and shoulders hurt less during lifting and traction.
