All children have disobeyed their parents at least once in their lives. This is what being a child means. Kids do what they think is right, without thinking about what the consequences might be. If they didn't, they wouldn't learn any lessons. This is a part of growing and maturing. You learn things from your mistakes and that's how you become the person you want to be. Then the cycle repeats with the children you have. In Romeo and Juliet the main reason why children should not always obey their parents is because, it doesn't help them become individuals, times have changed and parents don't always truly know what is best for their children. In Romeo and Juliet, and in life today, always obeying one's parents does not help a child become an individual in his or her own right. Everyone is different and that's how it should be. That's what makes life so wonderful, is being able to meet different people. Everyone has their own special thing about them. That's why everyone in this world matters.
