The Hui people were a unique race in China during the Qing and Ming dynasties. The Hui people, the Chinese Muslims, were Asians who followed Islamic ideas. The Ma Clique participated in several battles and wars such as the Chinese Civil War. There were three main members of the Ma Clique, Ma Bufang, Ma Hongkui and Ma Hongbin, they were known as "Xibei San Ma" or "Three Mas of the Northwest". The Guomindang was a political party, created in 1911, composed of several Chinese nationalists and the Hui people. Chiang Kai-Shek and Jiang Jieshi opposed the thought of different ethnicities in China. He believed that there was only one race, the Han, he grouped the Hui people with the Han people simply thinking that they were not different, but accepted Islamic ideas. The Ma family and Chinese Muslims did not care which side they chose to take. Whether they were on the communist or nationalist side, they just wanted to fulfill their desires, be considered equal, and create a self-governing government. In 1911, Sun Yat-sen founded a nationalist political party, but it was ruled in China by Chiang Kai-shek. Sun wanted to make China free, strong and successful by following his three principles. “Our Party [the Guomindang] regards the development of the weak and small and resistance to the strong and violent as our single and most urgent task. This is even more true for those groups that are not of our kind, if they are not of our kind, their hearts must be different.” What Zuo Zhuan is trying to say is that we, the Guomindang, accept the helpless, the desperate, and the weak and turn them into powerful figures. If you don't join our organization you will be considered weak. This caught the Hui......middle of paper......if they had switched to the nationalist side they would probably have their wishes granted. But instead they joined the Kuomintang in 1911 with the desire to complete the creation of an autonomous country and government. In 1936, the Hui people formed an autonomous government that unleashed several ideas in China and helped form the “Military Revolutionary Committee of the Communist Party of China” after the failure of their government. Out of nowhere the Chinese Muslims went over to the side of the Nationalists because of their Muslim general Ma Fuxiang because he considered Chiang Kai-shek a brother and an ally. The Ma clique and Chinese Muslims brought a significant change to the war. If the Hui people had chosen not to help Chiang, they might have lost the war faster. But at least they gave him a chance and did their best to contribute to this war to make sure they won.
