Al Qaeda, the organization with which the United States is in a constant and never-ending battle, the organization that has had the greatest impact and changed the United States forever. Al Qaeda always makes headlines with its terrorist attacks, the most well-known attack being September 11, 2001. This essay is about the terrorist group Al Qaeda, its history and background, Osama bin Laden, their well-known leader, and the main attacks against America.Al Qaeda, or Al Qaida, is a global militant Islamic organization. It has been considered a terrorist organization by almost all nations such as the United States, NATO (North Atlantic Treaty), European Union, United Kingdom, United Nations, India and many other countries. Al Qaeda is an organization or network composed of both a stateless and ruthless army and a radical Sunni Muslim movement that has a strict interpretation of Sharia law, the moral law, and their main goal is to achieve global Jihad, the religious duties of all Muslims. The founder of the Al Qaeda organization is Osama bin Laden. Al Qaeda was founded and began in Peshawar, Pakistan. The origins of Al Qaeda are traced back between August 1988 and the end of 1989 to the Soviet war in Afghanistan. Qaeda is known for suicide attacks and bombings of various locations and targets. They believe that killing innocent civilians is religiously sanctioned and that means it gives them authoritative permission. Al Qaeda's different operations vary. The best-known leader of Al Qaeda is Osama bin Laden. Osama was born in Saudi Arabia to a wealthy bin Laden family. Osama joined the Muslim guerrillas called the Mujahideen forces in Pakistan who were against the Soviets in Afghanistan. On 7 July 2005, London was attacked by Al Qaeda. The attack was the worst they had suffered since World War II. Al Qaeda later claimed that the attacks were rebellion and revenge for Britain's involvement in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. After the September 11 attacks, Al Qaeda became the most infamous terrorist organization in the world. Al Qaeda is the network organized by Osama bin Laden. Al Qaeda's main goal was to drive out all Americans and all American influences from Muslim nations. Al Qaeda has launched numerous attacks against the United States and many other countries around the world.
