Topic > Reflection on Clinical Experience - 700

Fortunately, I am very comfortable with patients, which has made providing care very easy. I wasn't afraid to enter other patients' rooms if they called for help. I would do my best to help patients; however, if I needed help, I wasn't afraid to ask a fellow student or a staff nurse. It is very important to be able to talk to patients and work as a team with colleagues as this made the job easier. On the other hand, I need to review the mother and baby assessments to become more familiar with both. I was able to complete the assessments; Now I have to do it in a more timely manner, making sure I don't forget any key areas. Finally, it is critical that I continue to review patient teaching prior to clinic. Being comfortable with patients has made teaching easier, although I need to become more familiar with all the material that needs to be taught. All in all my first baby clinic went very well. I have more confidence in the care I have provided and will provide in the coming weeks. If needed, the nurses were there to answer questions or help me with my learning. I know I have room for improvement, although I am aware that it will take more practice. Having such cooperative patients and parents allowed me to take my time and be more thorough to ensure I grasped the concepts. As I continue to connect the contents of the lesson and what is seen in the hospital
