Quoyle goes from a quiet introvert to a confident individual as a result of finding paid work, bonding with his daughters, and falling in love. By bonding with his daughters, Quoyle changes from a quiet introvert to a confident individual. It was a big day for Quoyle to send Bunny to school, he didn't know what was going to happen and the last thing he wanted was for Bunny to go through the same experience he went through. Quoyle went to get the bunny "How did it go?" he asked Quoyle who was terrified of receiving an answer that would remind him of his school days. To Quoyle's surprise, Bunny said "it was fun." he was relieved that she had a great time. Quoyle was more than happy that Bunny wasn't like him when he was in school. Bunny's experience at school has changed Quoyle, this is because he knows that maybe school is not a bad time, and he is no longer worried about Bunny, which gives him less stress and consequently increases his confidence. Furthermore, by binding to his Quoyle, he is able to defend it. Quoyle and Billy Pretty were hanging out when Billy said, "I doubt if a man could raise two little girls alone," Quoyle had no reaction.
