The year was 1945, Hitler was dead and the word was trying to pick up the pieces of the destruction of World War II (WWII), which was the worst war known to man causing the deaths of 60 million or more human beings. Newspapers around the world had headlines like “The worst is behind us” or “Never again”. The leaders of the nations of the world were shocked by what had happened over the last 10 years, they never believed they would witness such a frightening reality of what was the Second World War. These leaders, as well as the rest of the world, were pleased to see that the Axis force consisting of Germany, Japan and Italy was stopped along with their diabolical leaders. To prevent a disaster like this from happening again, leaders of countries around the world decided to form the United Nations, which swore to protect humans and all living things from the man-made weapons that have caused so much chaos. At the first meeting of the United Nations on January 10, 1946, the leaders decided that atomic energy should be used only for peaceful and productive purposes and that all weapons of mass destruction or explosives should be destroyed or locked away forever. The precautions taken by the United Nations to promote peace have been successful, wars have stopped, and nations have learned to express their differences instead of harming others. This time became known as “The Era of Peace and Enlightenment”. It was the best of times when people showed love for all humanity, regardless of their religious beliefs, race, ethnicity, or gender; we have finally been accepted for who we are. On June 6, 1966, almost twenty years after the end of World War II, in a small town of Delphi, Indiana, a boy named Jay Morris was born. The first child was born to German immigrant parents who were...... middle of paper ...... ether and at this point they realized they needed access to their weapons which were located in Nazi-ruled Europe ... Many ideas tried to figure out how to stop them, but nothing was possible. Their utopia has fallen and they would not allow it to become a dystopia for all who still breathe. They had been informed that the men Hitler was marching across the planet could not die. So a drastic plan was devised in which they gathered their best scientists to build many bombs of mass destruction. On May 4, 1985, the President of the United States spoke to the world: "We have failed you people of the earth, they will take over the world." planet, but if there is no planet to govern they will not be able to govern.” As soon as it took off, eight nuclear bombs were dropped by bombers on different locations on the earth, causing it to explode into millions of pieces, ending all life as we know it..
