But the question of whether erotic art can be classified as pornography enters the global debate. What are the factors that can influence their distinction? The Museum of Sex located in New York has sparked controversy among people who know about it. Can the pieces in the exhibition be pornographic and consequently have a negative connotation? Can the painting Venus in the Mirror have a negative pornographic meaning? Can it be conceived as positive art of cultural nourishment? Similarities and distinctions between art and pornography are necessary to eradicate their negative effects and assimilate their positive benefits.
