Socrates once said: "The only true wisdom is knowing that you know nothing." I would like to learn for the love of learning, education, appreciation, dedication and success. As an immigrant from Taiwan, I was given the opportunity to seek a better education in America, in New York. I am terribly grateful to my parents for bringing me here, sacrificing the best they had for me and my siblings. I have advanced in math since third grade and advanced in science since eighth grade. My school, Columbia Secondary, also offers engineering courses such as computer science which I am currently taking. I do very well in all my classes and always maintain good grades. In the future I would like to become a child psychologist with a PhD. In the near future, I want to be as far ahead as possible with my educational career. I have to be successful in the future to prove to my parents that they didn't waste their life, youth and efforts for nothing.
