It is my personal assessment that Mr. Kusuma's professional qualifications and his continued application of project management, strategic planning and cost engineering skills in the United States will enhance our nation's competitiveness. Mr. Kusuma is an outstanding scientist with an excellent background in project management, strategic planning and cost engineering and has achieved significant achievements in the energy industry, including benchmarking, cost estimating and cost assurance. Mr. Kusuma graduated in Civil Engineering from Trisakti University in Jakarta, Indonesia and received his Dipl. Eng. in construction management from the Hanzehogeschool in the Netherlands. He is also currently pursuing a professional Master of Science in Project Management at Walden University, Minneapolis. In addition to his excellent professional career, Mr. Kusuma has also contributed greatly to five non-profit organizations in the United States. I currently serve as Chair of Management and Legal Studies in the College of Business at Loyola University in New Orleans. Additionally, I hold the Henry J. Engler Jr. Distinguished Professorship in Management. As such, I have been heavily involved in training corporate executives while conducting corporate research. My research interests include quantitative analysis, quality management, cross-cultural management, technology management, forecasting and project management.
