Surprisingly, many well-educated countries around the world actually attend school year-round, and among those countries that do attend, they far surpass America in education. In terms of education, America falls short, barely compared to other countries like China and Canada. To improve its education system, America should move to the year-round school system, in order to maximize students' education and America's future. If America were to make these changes, there would be drastic changes in the growth of American education. These changes would take America to the top, which could lead to many different things, such as a better economy, run by more educated Americans. These Americans could offer greater insights in many ways, such as running more successful businesses or perhaps other useful jobs to contribute to our economic growth. The first point why year-round schooling would benefit America is that students would have more coherent memories. If students attended school year-round, this would help them actually remember information in school, and teachers wouldn't have to waste classroom time re-teaching what students should already know. The process of re-teaching teachers at the beginning of the year could take anywhere from a couple of weeks to more than a month, depending on the complexity of the subject and this is a lot of wasted time; on the contrary, in a year-round school the students would not need to be re-taught anything and would be read... middle of paper... and the school can benefit the students and the American people. It redistributes the summer throughout the school year so students have more frequent breaks and will help avoid summer learning loss. It also offers students more affordable vacation opportunities that can help them save money. The year-round school also allows students to settle into the rhythm of a normal life once out of school. In addition to this, year-round school offers students more frequent breaks, meaning they will have more breaks to refresh themselves and get away from the overwhelming daily stress of school. These are just a few of the many advantages of year-round schooling over traditional American schools, and many of these statements contain compelling facts that should not be so easily overlooked and may even have changed your opinion of year-round schooling..
